Sunday Encouragement

Happy Sunday, friends! Just wanted to pop on and share the encouragement that I have needed this week as I started my fourth rotation. It's ambulatory care, which I love! What I'm having a hard time with is being four hours away from home. This means four hours away from my husband, who keeps me calm and grounded, and fur baby, who provides endless joy and snuggles.

As hard as it is to be away from Nate, my focus improves when he is not around. Do any of you experience a boost in productivity when your significant other is away? Yeah, me too. So, I am taking the opportunity to nurture areas of my life I that could use a little more love.

A few things I am working on while in 'solitude' are:
  • Prayer - With any decision or difficulty or delight, I am turning to the Lord.
  • Reading - I have about 50 books on my 'to read' list and would be thrilled to knock a few off. Currently reading: Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert so I can feel more in tune to this week's Lively Show episode.
  • Fitness - The aunt I am staying with has a treadmill, which is a treasure as the temperature drops in Minnesota. I currently enjoy multitasking by walking at a slower speed and reading at the same time.
Until next week, I will rejoice in hope of seeing friends and family as they travel to me next weekend for our Traditional Nigerian Wedding, be patient with my situation, and be in constant discussion with God about how to focus my energy.

What are you currently working on in your life? If needed, I hope Romans 12:12 has provided some encouragement. Have a great week!

  1. What a treasure you are. I love that you turn to Him in delight, that's how it should be. He sings over you with joy. I love that one too. I love my crazy life, but my favorite times are talking to Him and getting my hands in some clay. (Pottery class) That's where I can be quiet and center my life, ya know? Hugs!!!!!
