Since my birthday is 01/01, I strongly associate the first of the year with new beginnings. Today I soaked in a new mantra and reflected on the old. I support the tradition of resolutions because I think we can/should utilize all opportunities to audit the past and propose positive change. Here's the low-down on my 2015 and hopes for 2016.

Events of 2015

  • Married Nate (twice!)
  • Completed the didactic portion of my Pharm D program
  • Grandfather's passing
  • Completed a half-marathon (notice I did not say "ran")
  • Visited Charles & Colvard HQ

Lessons learned in 2015

  • Chill out (haven't nailed this but have made considerable progress)!
  • You can do what you set your mind to.
  • Cut yourself, your husband, everyone some slack. We're all doing our best.

How I spent the first day of 24

  • Went out for breakfast, which was actually brunch because I slept in :P
  • Decided watching a movie from home > the theatre
  • Took an afternoon nap
  • Met family for supper
  • Relaxed & reflected

What I envision for 2016

  • Continued work on anxiety and my spiritual journey
  • New responsibilities and roles
  • An open mind
  • More prayer, more meditation, more yoga
Happy New Year! What do you see for your 2016?

P.S. Did I mention I am writing 10 blog posts consecutively for the first days of 2016? Stay tuned for tidy topics throughout the week!
